I met Christie for the first time in 1998 at the 19th Antique & Period Jewelry & Gemstone Conference. I can’t believe it was so long ago. She was so enthusiastic about the field it was great to listen to her talk. We dealt with each other online for many years and then met again at the Annual Conference on Jewelry & Related Arts in New York in 2007. A group of the speakers all went out for dinner together. I knew who she was but she didn’t recognize me until I mentioned Metalcyberspace and then she jumped up and said “I LOVE THAT SITE!” and proceeded to describe it to everyone at the table. I can’t explain how that made me feel. I will miss her energy!
